New Train for London (NTfL) Kiosk

Transport for London recently unveiled their new Tube trains for the future. For the unveiling, TfL wanted to create an information kiosk to showcase the new trains. Links Signs came on board to bring the project to life, because of our extensive knowledge of LUL material requirements. Our fabrication experience and also our ability to deliver Projects outside the ‘norm’. To launch the New Tube for London (NTfL), Links Signs was instrumental in helping to bring the designers ideas to life. We fabricated a standalone kiosk with Audio and Visual elements alongside striking graphics, floor graphics and wall graphics.

Manufacturing a kiosk that can be flat packed is always a big challenge. The kiosk has the ability to be broken down, removed from site and relocated to another site. And all within the space of ONE NIGHT! It took a great deal of thought and design to come up with right design, that met all of our clients requirements, along with all of the relevant fundamental Safety obligations relating to London Underground.

Links Signs successfully managed a complex project overseeing the manufacture and installation of 48 panels to create a bespoke mural on the Transport for London (TfL) owned bridge and the station entrance at Northwood Hills station. Links ensured not only that all the technical and engineering requirements of TfL were met but also that the extensive colour hues specified by mural artists Gordon Collett and Cosmo Sarson were achieved. The finished result is wonderful, as summed up by Mayor of London Boris Johnson when he visited ‘My God, it’s beautiful! Did we do this? The murals – they’re sensational!’ He added: ‘I think it’s all fantastic, really imaginative. I’m very proud.’
