New Business Development Manager at Links Signs Ltd

Links Signs Ltd is pleased to announce that Mike Hayes has joined the team in the newly created role of Business Development Manager for the UK and Europe. Mike will assist MD Tony Kidby and Project Director James Kidby realise their ambitious growth strategy for the future of the company.

Mike brings over 30-year experience in the sign industry to this role. He will focus on building on Links Signs’ period of rapid growth in the transport, architectural and retail signage sectors and will cover Business Development in the UK and Europe. He will work with both existing and new clients.

Mike’s successful career in the sign industry began in 1992 at Active Signs and prior to this role he led the Business Development team at SignScope since 2009. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge of the retail sector to Links Signs as he has worked with well-known high street and global brands on all aspects of signage.

Mike said, “I am really looking forward to working with Links Signs – a company that believes in developing their team, investing in new machinery and has big plans for the growth of the company. I have known Tony and James Kidby, the owners of Links Signs, for many years. I have always had the greatest respect for them and am excited to work with them on their ambitious plans for the future and help to achieve them.”

Mike lives in South East Kent and is married with three sons – 22,18 and 14 years old. In his spare time, you will find him walking, renovating classic cars or carrying out yet another DIY project.

Links Signs successfully managed a complex project overseeing the manufacture and installation of 48 panels to create a bespoke mural on the Transport for London (TfL) owned bridge and the station entrance at Northwood Hills station. Links ensured not only that all the technical and engineering requirements of TfL were met but also that the extensive colour hues specified by mural artists Gordon Collett and Cosmo Sarson were achieved. The finished result is wonderful, as summed up by Mayor of London Boris Johnson when he visited ‘My God, it’s beautiful! Did we do this? The murals – they’re sensational!’ He added: ‘I think it’s all fantastic, really imaginative. I’m very proud.’
