Links Signs is a family-run signage company that is based in Hastings. Office & Project Assistant

Job Title: Office & Project Assistant

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Office & Project Assistant to support our current office & project staff. Your job role would include managing general office duties, ensuring the smooth running of company processes and assisting the Project Manager in their responsibilities. The position has an immediate start.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• General clerical duties, including, but not limited to; mailing and filing correspondence, placing orders, answering calls and arranging appointments.
• Working with the Project Manager on project plans and reporting tools.
• Organising and booking training sessions and trainers, coordinating attendees, meeting & greeting on workshop days and dealing with queries.
• Being a source of contact and support for enquiries related to projects.
• Interaction with applicants, clients and visitors.
• Sorting and distributing incoming mail.
• Arranging meetings by reserving rooms and managing refreshments.
• Typing correspondence, meeting notes, and forms among other documents.
• Managing photocopies, scans, and the filing of appropriate documents.
• Editing documents for accuracy
• Maintaining accurate records and data entry.
• Assisting with event organisation when necessary.
• Conducting research and compiling data.
• Performing additional duties when required, including but not limited to drafting brochures and organising the filing system.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

Digital Print Operative

Job Title: Digital Print Operative

Do you want to work at the cutting-edge of the signage industry? Links Signs is a leading manufacturer and installer of signage that has worked with a multitude of UK, European and Global Brands. Based in East Sussex, this family-run company is continually growing, and we are now recruiting for a Large Format Printer Operator to join us at this exciting time. 

What We’re Offering: 

This is a full-time permanent position based at our premises in Hastings. Previous relevant experience is essential. We offer 28-days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and a competitive salary is available for the right applicant.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Operating various large format machinery including HP Latex Printers and Summer cutters.
• Operating and maintaining printers, finishing machines, Laminators, Laser Cutters, HP Printers, CNC Routers & Summas.
• Vinyl Application.
• Working knowledge of signage RIP software, such as Rasterlink, V-Carve and Onyx.
• Packaging of jobs.
• Reporting to the senior production operative for the day-to-day workload.
• Ensuring customers’ work goes out on time and correctly.
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy at all times.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Supporting other colleagues/areas of the business.
• Continually striving to improve all areas of the company.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

• Proven operative/machine experience in excess of 3-5 years
• Efficient in any of the following, illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw or InDesign
• Strong communication skills to liaise with other departments within the company
• Exceptional eye for detail and quality control
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible work attitude
• Forklift license advantageous
• Full driving license required.
